    CHEER INFORMATION

    I am very excited to welcome all the NEW and RETURNING cheerleaders to Monroe Youth Football Cheer during the 2018-19 season. We are feeder program to the Monroe High School cheerleading program and will be offering the opportunity to cheer for MYFA football and possibly perform at halftime for a MHS game.

    Below is some cost information to help budget:

    1. Registration will be $325.00 for the 2018 year.
    2. Included:
      a. Cheer Camp Uniforms
      b. Uniforms are included in the registration price and will be reused for 2 years (2017-18 season + 2018-19 season)
      Uniforms include: shell, top, skirt, spanx, socks, bow, orange/black pom poms, pink socks, pink bow
      c. Gym rental costs
      d. Liability insurance
      e. End of season gift
      f. End of season party

    3. A sibling discount of $25.00 is provided (football players included)
    4. Returning cheerleaders, that do not need a new uniform will receive a discount of $150.00
    5. Payment plans are available, dividing the cost into 3 automatic payments(can be purchased at Payless)
    6. Extra Mandatory Costs: White cheer shoes
    7. Optional Costs:
      a. Clear rain jacket (recommended for football season)
      b. Duffle bag with cheerleader name (can be purchased through MYFA)
      c. Pictures (can be purchased at time of MYFA group pictures)

    What to expect:

    1. For a full list of what to expect this season, please refer to the document posted titled What to Expect. This document will also be provided in hard copy at our first cheerleader practice.
    2. All siblings will be kept together, meaning cheerleaders will be assigned to football teams that their siblings are on.
    3. **Cheer coaches will be needed.

    Please contact Jen if you are willing to volunteer as a dedicated cheer coach for your daughter's squad. Training (and free coffee) will be provided. A background check will be required.

    Practice Schedule:

    1. Practice will start on August 6, 2018. Location to be determined.
    2. Cheer Camp will be from July 23rd - July 27th from 5:30pm - 7:00pm.
    3. Please note that new cheerleaders will be measured for their uniforms during July. Watch your emails for time and place.
    4. Practice times will be every Tuesday & Thursday from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Pending football practice announcement. Subject to change.
    5. Practice times will change to Thursdays ONLY from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. in the month of October - November. Pending football practice announcement. Subject to change.
    6. Cheerleaders will practice outside at same location with football players until the weather changes, then we will move to the gym.
    7. Football Jamboree is August 18-19, 2018.
    8. MYFA Cheer anticipates they will participate in the Monroe Fair Days Parade on August 25, 2018. The parade starts at 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Cheerleaders will need to attend their regular games following the parade.
